The national mold electrotechnical technology research forum was held in Guangzhou on May 20, 1978. The meeting was attended by 104 representatives from 91 units in 20 provinces and cities nationwide. The meeting lasted for seven days. At the conference, fourteen representatives made speeches at the conference and introduced respectively the achievements and experiences they have made in tackling the problem. For example, the Beijing Machine Tool Research Institute introduced the “high-precision coordinate EDM process” results, especially the manufacture of precision electrodes, determination and processing technology.
