博罗县太美公社下青大队地处广东省东江中游,是经济作物主产区,甘蔗居首位,全大队耕地面积1,870多亩,每年种植甘蔗1,100亩左右,其中秋植蔗600多亩,占甘蔗面积60％。实践证明,发展秋植蔗是多产糖为国家多作贡献的重要途径,而种好苗圃蔗是解决秋植蔗种苗来源的有效措施之一。
