转眼之间,汪曾祺先生逝世一周年了。仿佛就在昨天。1997年5月16日,星期五,这个日子令我总是难忘。就在这天,我历时二年、在汪曾祺先生指导下写作成功的《汪曾祺传》,在江苏文艺出版社正式通过三审送入印刷厂印刷;但也就在这天的上午10时30分,汪曾祺先生在北京友谊医院,因肝硬化引起的食道静脉曲张而造成弥漫性出血,经多方抢救无效,不幸去世,终年77岁。一切正像《新民晚报》女记者项玮同志描述的那样:“……冥冥之中似有一种安排……此书(《汪曾祺传》)发排之日,陆建华从南京打电话到北京,想把这高兴的事告诉汪老,不料,接听电话的汪老女儿哭出了声,说:‘爸爸上午去世了。’陆建华一下呆住了……”项玮这篇刊登在1997年10月20日《新民晚报》上的文章,题目就叫:《惜哉此书成祭奠——访〈汪曾祺传〉作者陆建华》。
In the blink of an eye, the anniversary of Mr. Wang Zengqi’s death passed. As if yesterday. Friday, May 16, 1997, this day makes me always unforgettable. On this very day, I spent two years in writing under the guidance of Mr. Wang Zengqi, “Wang Zengqi Biography” which was successfully handed over to the printing press in Jiangsu Literary Publishing House. However, at 10:30 on this day Mr. Wang Zengqi at Beijing Friendship Hospital caused diffuse hemorrhage due to esophageal varices caused by liver cirrhosis. After multiple rescues failed, he died at the age of 77. Everything is just as Comrade Xiang Wei, a reporter for the Xinmin Evening News, described it: “... There seems to be some sort of arrangement ... This book (” Wang Zeng Kei Chuan “) issued a date on which Lu Jianhua made a phone call from Beijing to Beijing. Wang pleased to want to tell this old thing, unexpectedly, the old girl answering the phone cried out and said: ’Father died in the morning.’ Lu Jianhua stooped ... ... ”This article published in October 1997 Wei Xinhua Evening News on the 20th article on the topic is called: “Unfortunately, this book into a memorial ceremony - Interview with Wang Zengqi biography author Lu Jianhua.”
