The term “Chinese taste” appeared in the “Language Teaching Newsletter” in the 17th issue of 2001, that is, Mr. Cheng Shaotang’s article “Chinese language class should teach ”Chinese taste“”. So what exactly is the “Chinese taste”? Mr. Cheng Shaotang believes that the so-called Chinese taste, in terms of connotation, means that in Chinese teaching, in a symbiotic mutual learning (mutual sharing) teacher-student relationship, it is mainly through emotional stimulation. With language and taste, it is an intoxicating aesthetic pleasure that people experience. In terms of denotation, the Chinese taste is the harmonious unity of the instrumental and humanistic characteristics of the Chinese language, the Chinese language taste of the text (teaching materials), and the Chinese language taste of the teaching process.
