台湾海峡及邻近海域海洋科学研讨会于1993年8月12至16日在厦门举行。参加这次盛会的海洋科学工作者共144人,其中台湾学者41人。中国科学院学部委员苏纪兰、(台湾)两岸发展研究基金会董事长丁守中,以及国家海洋局副局长葛有信、国家自然科学基金委员会地学部主任林海、福建省副省长王良传、厦门市副市长王榕和厦门大学校长林祖赓出席了会议。本次会议是由两岸著名海洋科学家联合发起,并得到国家自然科
Marine Science Symposium on Taiwan Strait and Adjacent Sea Area was held in Xiamen from August 12 to August 13, 1993. A total of 144 marine scientists attended the event, including 41 Taiwan scholars. Ding Shouzhong, chairman of the Research Foundation for Cross-Strait Development (Taiwan), Ge Youxin, deputy director of the State Oceanic Administration, Lin Hai, director of the Department of Earth Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Wang Liangchuan, vice governor of Fujian Province, and vice mayor of Xiamen Wang Rong and Xiamen University President Lin Zuyi attended the meeting. This meeting was jointly sponsored by well-known marine scientists from both sides of the Strait and got the National Natural Science Section
