10月12日,世界粮食日前夕,怀揣“科学梦”的102名第二课堂杂志社小记者,在编辑老师的带领下,走进国家杂交水稻工程技术研究中心这座科学殿堂,拜访了84岁的袁隆平院士,认真聆听了研究中心专家学者的讲解,上了一堂丰富而有意义的科学实践课。当大科学家袁隆平院士出现在小记者们面前时,小记者们都激动起来,齐声向袁爷爷问好,围拢在袁爷爷身边,聆听他亲切的话语。慈祥的袁院士一一回答小记者的问题后,又勉励、叮嘱小记者们,要好好学习,要锻炼身体,保持学习好、身体好,以后为伟大祖国做出自己的贡献,并题词寄语《第二课堂》全国的小读者“发展个性特长,提高综合素质。”
