剧作家宋之的四月十七日下午二时二十七分在北京病逝,享年四十二歲。他在三月間患肝臟硬化症,經中、西名医治療無效。宋之的是中國共產党員、中国人民解放軍上校。生前任中国人民解放軍总政治部文化部文艺处長,全國文联全国委員,作协理事,剧协常务理事,“剧本”編委。一九三二年在北京参加中国共產党领導的左翼戲剧家联盟,开始从事革命活动。二十多年來會經创作了許多优秀的作品。他的代表作有报告文学“一九三六年春在太原”,剧本“武則天”、“霧重慶”、“春 The playwright Song Zhi died at Beijing’s capital at two twenty-seven in the afternoon of April 17 at the age of forty-two.
