上海长江隧桥工程作为国家“十一五”期间重点建设项目,是国家重点公路建设规划中上海至西安公路的重要组成部分,也是目前上海在建的规模最大的交通项目。工程采用“南隧北桥”方案,是目前世界最大的隧桥工程。通道南起浦东五号沟,接上海郊区环线,过长江南港水域,经长兴岛再过长江北港水域,止于崇明岛陈家镇。其中,以隧道方式穿越长江南港水域,长约8．9公里;以桥梁方式跨越长江
The Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel and Bridge Project, as a key construction project during the national “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, is an important part of the national highway construction plan from Shanghai to Xi’an, and it is also the largest transportation project currently under construction in Shanghai. The project uses the “South Bridge North Bridge” program and is currently the largest tunnel bridge project in the world. The tunnel starts from No. 5 Ditch in Pudong and connects with the suburbs of Shanghai. It crosses the waters of the Yangtze River and Nangang, passes Changxing Island and crosses the waters of the North Pearl River, and ends at Chenjia Town of Chongming Island. Among them, the tunnel crosses the waters of the South China Sea in the Yangtze River and is about 8.9 kilometers long; the bridge spans the Yangtze River.
