刺槐(又名洋槐 Robinia Pseudoacacia Linn)生长快,适应性强,材质坚硬耐腐,是优良的坑木、矿柱、造船、建筑用材。目前,我省刺槐据不完全统计,仅“四旁”就有六亿五千万株,仅次于杨树,居第二位。虽数量很多,但材积增长不快。其主要原因是品种混杂低劣。因此,选育和推广刺槐优良无性系,对提高木材生产力,缩短硬材生产周期是十分必要的。在开展良种选育的基础上,我们于一九八一年三月份由山东胶县苗圃引进十五个初
