幼儿期是学习语言的关键期,他们对语言有很强的模仿能力和领悟能力,听觉敏锐,心理障碍小,求新求异思维活跃,较易形成正确度语言语调。学习过程简单、直接。而且有研究表明:儿童学习语言的过程,先后有两种不同的趋势。起初是扩展的趋势,就是能够学会越来越多的语音,3—6岁的幼儿正处于这种阶段。在此以后,学习语言的趋势逐渐趋向收缩。可以说幼儿在学习外来语上有着优越的先天条件,幼儿非常乐意接受除父母以外的第二语言。但是幼儿也有其特定的年龄特点,注意力时间短、喜欢重复、理解和接受能力相对较差等,因此要顺应幼儿的这种成长规律,让幼儿在动中学,玩中学,激发起幼儿对英语学习的兴趣。
