Objective To investigate the characteristics of brain regions with impaired nocturnal enuresis (NE) in children by resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-f MRI) hemispheric homology (VMHC). Methods Fifteen patients with NE and normal children were screened by rs-f MRI respectively and analyzed by VMHC method. The differences of VMHC values between the two groups were compared by two-sample t-test. Results The brain regions with significant differences in VMHC between the groups were located in the cerebellum and anterior cingulate gyrus (P <0.05, corrected), both of which were lower in the NE group than in the normal group. Conclusions The decreased functional connectivity between the cerebella in the two hemispheres of NE children impairs the regular function of the cerebellum and controls the micturition disorder. At the same time, NE cerebellar dysfunction may be related to decreased attentiveness. Ability to decline, the performance of enuresis symptoms.
