改革开放三十年来,公安工作和公安队伍建设发生了深刻变化,取得了长足发展,特别是随着公安队伍正规化建设的不断加强,迫切需要一首充分体现警察职业特点、易于传唱的《中国人民警察警歌》,以进一步弘扬正气、激励斗志,树立公安机关和人民警察良好形象。同时,自1987年以来,公安部政治部每年都与中央电视台联合举办公安部春节电视文艺晚会,2007年开始晚会名称固定为“万家灯火平安夜”。为进一步把每年的公安部春节电视文艺晚会办成精品,保持晚会主题的连续性,也需要一首富有公安特色、适合晚会演唱的主题曲。据此,公安部政治部与中国音乐家协会决定联合面向社会各界和全国公安机关广泛征集《中国人民警察警歌》和公安部春节电视文艺晚会主题曲《万家灯火平安夜》。
In the three decades since the reform and opening up, the public security work and public security contingent building have undergone profound changes. Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Musicians Association decided to jointly solicit the “Chinese People’s Police Police Song” and the theme song of the Spring Festival TV Night of the Ministry of Public Security “Wanjiaguang Eve” jointly for all sectors of the public and the national public security organs.
