Semi-complementary reproduction is a form of apomixis. Minimal or non-subtractive male gametes and female gametes participate in the formation of embryos without being dithered, which can result in chimera including both paternal and maternal tissues. The phenomenon of semi-cooperation of cotton was formally confirmed in the seventies. So far, there are still few reports on this aspect in our country. Since 1978, we began to study the semi-parthenogenesis and its application in cotton. The results showed that using the semi-parthenogenesis characteristics of cotton, we could obtain the haploid of any cotton or hybrid progeny, which opened up a new way for accelerating cotton breeding. I. Materials and Methods In this experiment, we used the island cotton cultivars with semi-mating reproductive properties introduced directly from the United States. They were planted in greenhouse and under natural conditions, and were self-crossed, crossed and observed. Second, the result analysis
