In a ruling of September 7, 2010, the Federal Court of Australia held that copying the title of a newspaper would not violate Australian copyright law. The case was based on Rheinland International Press’s article title in the Australian Journal of Financial Review when it came to providing online digests of articles to clients. Three years ago, Fairfax News, publisher of The Australian Financial Review, brought Reid International to court.
