上海古美高级中学是闵行区教育局直管的一所公办普通高级中学。2007年5月,其由上海师资培训中心实验基地附属中学高中部与市西实验中学高中部合并后另则新址而建成。学校占地面积30亩,建筑面积1100平方米,现有高中部三个年级17个班级,近700名师生员工,教学设施设备完善,师资力量雄厚,形成了以高中数学为主的优势学科的办学特色。学校在整合原两校10多年办学经验和优势的基础上,努力践行教育信息化、智慧化、现代化和国际化的办学理念,依照“整体规划、分项实施、逐步完善、全面提升”的办学思路,制定了“基础——特色——品牌”三步走的发展战略,先后与新西兰罗岗中学、香港真光女书院建立姊妹校关系,并积极推荐学生前往姊妹校交流访问,为学生、家长提供满意的教育,通过师生的共同发展促进学校全面发展。
