For more than a decade, more than a dozen deep-water berths have been built in the soft soil area of Tianjin’s Newport. In order to make use of the bearing capacity of deep hardbase and consider the specific conditions of difficult source and high price of gravel, the berths adopt the self-stable wide-pile structure of bank slope in combination with the conditions of existing construction equipment. According to the construction practice, the precast construction of the foundation piles and upper components needed for the structure of wide piles is the largest, and the existing pre-existing capacity is far from meeting the needs.
