中国在健康状况方而所取得的进步已经证明建立大规模的医疗服务网点和使用大批的医务人员是极为重要的。下表列举的数字说明自1949年以来中国在建立农村卫生基层组织方面所取得的成就。这还应考虑到在此期间,中国的农村人口已从当时的4.84亿上升到了1983年的7.84亿。
The progress China has made in terms of its health status has demonstrated that the establishment of large-scale medical service outlets and the use of a large number of medical personnel are extremely important. The figures listed below illustrate the achievements China has made since the establishment of rural grassroots organizations in rural areas since 1949.
