中国当代艺术已经走过了近30年的坎坷历程。从1980年代的边缘化、地下化和反叛性,1990年代的国际化,一直到新世纪前5年逐渐的主流化和合法化,中国当代艺术在这近30年里创造了一种世界范围内的文化奇观。“大海航行”是对这近30年来,中国当代艺术在遭遇社会转型、媒介变迁、全球化浪潮等一系列冲击后的复杂生态的一种隐喻性描绘。这种描绘,既充满了对风云诡谲、狂涛巨浪下的艺术命运的浪漫主义想象,又包含了对此岸和彼岸之间相互转换关系的现实主义判断。正是在这样一种变数横生的时空中,中国当代艺术塑造了自身的价值和魅力。
Chinese contemporary art has gone through the rough course of nearly 30 years. From the marginalization, undergroundization and rebellion of the 1980s, the internationalization of the 1990s and the gradual mainstreaming and legalization of the first five years of the new century, Chinese contemporary art has created a worldwide context in the past 30 years Cultural wonders. “Ocean Voyage” is a metaphorical depiction of the complex ecology of Chinese contemporary art in the past 30 years following a series of impacts such as social transformation, media change and the tide of globalization.
