I read the compilation of the speeches made by the members of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee at the Ninth Session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. It has aroused my interest that “building the Beibu Gulf into a new economic growth point for China from a strategic height.” As for the Beibu Gulf area with only 6 cities and 1.5 million non-agricultural population, people are still relatively unfamiliar with the city. Why can it become a new economic growth point for China? With this question, I interviewed the people who once served as the 8th CPPCC National Committee Member, Ren Yuling, vice mayor of Beihai city, who was elected as a member of the Standing Committee on the Ninth CPPCC National Committee. In Ren Yuling who can not see the official style, more of a scholarly demeanor. He treats others passionately and energetically. Bring all kinds of Beihai City, he is familiar. From his contagious discourse, I felt he was fond of the land on the other side of the North Sea. I will join him in that far and promising southern country.
