交叉组合对比(Cross-association)是一个标准的地层对比方法。它适用于理论上说来是完整的地层序列。而对通常见到的地层序列则无效。主要的问题是该方法难以用来对比那些因局部没有沉积或地层遭到侵蚀所形成的间断。本文所提出的方法,则适用于间断的对比.可以用于地层相似性的一般性变量。此外,这种新的方法已推广用于一个不完整的地层序列与一个较长的完整序列的对比和两个以上地层序列的对比。应用这些方法时,可以用手算解决大多数问题。
Cross-association is a standard method of formation correlation. It applies to theoretically complete sequence of stratigraphy. Stratigraphic sequences that are commonly seen are not valid. The main problem is that this method can not be used to compare the discontinuities caused by the partial absence of deposits or the erosion of the formation. The method proposed in this paper is suitable for discontinuous comparison and can be applied to general variables of formation similarity. In addition, this new method has been extended for the comparison of an incomplete sequence with a longer complete sequence and the comparison of more than two sequence sequences. When applying these methods, you can solve most problems by hand.
