There exists a confusing phenomenon that some rich people,who are real-life Grandet,lead a poor life on a tight budget.Whether we still need to practice thrift is a controversial topic.rnFrom my perspective,over-saving is unnecessary nowadays for the following reasons.To begin with,recent years have witnessed the rapid improvement of our living standards.So we can live a better and more relaxing life and thrift is out of date.On the individual level,there is no denying that over-saving may have negative effects on the quality of life to some degree.
