1992年6月,正值胶东腹地金黄色的小麦收割刚刚结束。在一阵鞭炮声中,“莱西经济开发区”这个带有强烈时代气息的区标,巍然屹立在了烟青一级公路118公里的右侧。12年过去了,这里已经发生了翻天覆地的变化。开发区建设之初的几间简易工棚早已不复存在,曾经是一片荒芜的土地上,如今盖起了一座座现代化高标准的厂房。这个多年以前被许多人看做是青岛的“西伯利亚”的地方,如令却成为韩国和日本等国客商竞相投资创业的热土。2001年1月至2004年9月,仅用三年多时间,莱西经济开发区就引进建成外资企业56家,合同利用外资1.7亿美元,实际利用外资1.3亿美元;引进内资项目68家,合同利用内资5.6亿元,实际利用内资3.8亿元。莱西经济开发区招商引资工作进入历史最好时期。那么究竟是什么吸引了客商挑剔的眼球?莱西的魅力何在?带着诸多疑问,记者走进了菜西经济开发区,对开发区工委书记、管委会主任邴国裔进行了一次专访。
