自1984年以来,我国共参加了5届夏季奥运会和7届冬季奥运会,从洛杉矶奥运会金牌零的突破,到2000年悉尼奥运会获得28枚金牌,我国的竞技体育事业取得了巨大成就。但是也应当看到,在从计划经济体制向社会主义市场经济体制转变的社会大转轨时期,竞技体育的发展也受到了严峻的挑战,面临许多新的困难和问题。从我国参加5届夏季奥运会的成绩和项目发展水平来看,我国夺取金牌的大项84年为6大项,88年为3大项,92年为7大
