20世纪90年代初,关积珍是北方交通大学的一名教师。1999年,他创立了北京四通智能交通系统集成有限公司。他的公司曾为2008年北京奥运会、新中国60周年大庆等提供智能交通系统技术支持。不过,在他看来最有意义的,是北京交通发展研究中心官网上每天发布的交通拥堵指数,那正是他所提出的城市交通指数理论在北京实际应用的成果。他希望,有一天市民出门前也看看这个指数,就像看空气污染指数一样。1月6日,关积珍接受了《环境与生活》杂志记者的专访,介绍了“智能交通”在我国的发展情况。
In the early 1990s, Guan Jizhen was a teacher at Northern Jiaotong University. In 1999, he founded Beijing Sitong Intelligent Transportation System Integration Co., Ltd. His company has provided intelligent transportation system technical support for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 60th anniversary of New China. However, what he sees as the most significant is the traffic congestion index released daily by the official website of the Beijing Transportation Development Research Center. That is exactly the result of his practical application of the urban transportation index theory in Beijing. He hopes that one day the public will look at the index before going out, just as if they were looking at the API. On January 6, Guan Jizhen accepted an interview with reporters from Environment and Life magazine and introduced the development of “intelligent transportation” in China.
