《明史·孙懋传》载陈霁为南京祭酒,这与《明实录》等史籍记载不一致。依据《明实录》整理出的1496～1521年间的南京祭酒年表并无此人,其他史籍南京祭酒年表亦无此人,但《明实录》和《国榷》等史籍都载陈霁为国子监祭酒。张邦奇撰写的墓志铭勾勒出陈霁仕官轨迹,透露了任职国子监的信息。据官私史籍与时人文集可断定陈霁为国子监祭酒。
“History of Ming and Sun Mao Biography” contains Chen Kui for the Nanjing Jiquor, which is inconsistent with the “Ming Record” and other historical records. There is no such thing as Nanjing Chronology from 1496 to 1521 according to “Ming Dynasty Record”, and there is no other chronicle of Nanjing Jiquor in other history books, but historical records such as Ming Dynasty Record and Guodian are contained霁 for the Imperial College wine. Zhang Bangqi wrote the epitaph outlines the official path of Chen Kui, disclosed the information of serving Guozijian. According to official history books and anthropology can be concluded Chen Kui for the Imperial College wine.
