2002年,全省消防工作在各级党委、政府和公安机关的正确领导下,圆满地完成了年初确定的工作目标和各项任务,取得了可喜的成绩。全省已连续两年没有发生特大灾事故,连续45个月没有发生一次死亡10人以上的群死群伤特大恶性火灾。全省消防队伍参加灭火战斗15000多次,参加社会抢险救援15600多次,抢救遇险人员994人,保护和抢救财产价值9.3亿元,为保卫国家和人民生命财产安全,维护全省社会稳定作出了新的贡献。
