September 17-19, 2008, the Tenth China Association for Science and Technology held its annual meeting in Zhengzhou. More than 10,000 scientific and technical workers, including more than 100 academicians from both academies and institutes, attended the conference from all over the country and in all academic fields, and worked in the forefront of scientific research, production and teaching. The opening ceremony was presided over by Deng Nan, executive vice chairman of China Association for Science and Technology and first secretary of the secretariat. Han Qide, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and chairman of China Association for Science and Technology
