由于五硫化二磷在农药杀虫剂、矿物浮选剂、润滑油添加剂等制造方面的广泛采用。因此测定工业五硫化二磷含量,对质量评价,就显得非常重要。目前国内外虽然报导了一些方法,然而十分理想的方法还无定论。造成这种情况的主要原因,是工业五硫化二磷中成份比较复杂所致,文献指出除主成份 P_4S_(10)外,尚含有游离的 S、P、P_4S_9,配比不当时也会出现 P_4S_3、P_4S_5、P_4S_6、P_4S_7,受氧化还能形成P_4O_6S_4。正因为如此,目前评价五硫化二磷质量,也只能是从外观、熔点鉴别,也有应用
Phosphorus pentasulfide is widely used in the manufacture of pesticide insecticides, mineral flotation agents, lubricant additives and the like.
