矿山机电设备是矿山企业生产的重要技术装备和物质技术基础。为使矿山企业最大限度地提高劳动生产率、改进产品质量并获得最大的经济效益,必须不断更新矿山机电设备,使其在技术上更加先进。这是实现我国石棉矿山技术现代化的需要,同时也是适应当代世界技术发展的必然趋势。石棉矿山在我国非金属工业体系中还是一个比较年轻但又十分重要的组成部分。矿山设备的好坏、是否先进,直接影响着石棉工业的迅速发展。目前我国各石棉矿山设备技术总的说来较为落后,设备陈旧、生产效率低、能源消耗多、劳动强度大、环境污染严重,有形、无形损耗加剧,因而设备更新是每个石棉矿山企业和各级领导部门面临的具有重大战略意义的新课题。
