2013年11月23日,“柳忠秧古体诗·新诗作品研讨会”在岳阳举行,来自全国各地的近三十多位学者、作家参加了研讨会。研讨会由北京师范大学文学院谭五昌教授主持,湖南省文艺评论家协会主席、湖南理工学院院长余三定教授致辞。余三定教授指出,柳忠秧多年来致力于长诗、史诗的大笔抒写,尤以其《楚歌》、《天下洞庭天下楼》、《岭南歌》等长篇为代表,写出了大视野、大情怀、大境界。中国作协创研部副主任尹汉胤认为:
On November 23, 2013, “Seminar on New Poetry Works of Liu Zhongyang” was held in Yueyang. Nearly 30 scholars and writers from all over China attended the seminar.
