I was a member of Tianjin Reclamation Team, the sixth cultivating area of People’s Commune of Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province. I was eighteen years old this year and went to Heilongjiang Province to participate in reclamation in October 1956. When I was in school, I learned the history of social development and started to understand the truth that labor created the world. My mother, a communist, worked for the Women’s Federation in Tianjin.
