11月6日～10日,来自国内各高等院校、科研院所和主要图书馆的数十位图书情报界专家和来自美国的同行们聚集珞珈山——中国现代图书馆专业教育的发祥地,共同探讨数字时代图书馆与情报学教育发展大计;众多正在攻读专业硕士、博士学位的研究生们参加了同一主题的高级研讨班。这个由武汉大学和美国匹兹堡大学联合发起的研讨会得到各方的高度重视,国家教育部和亚洲高等教育联合董事会、国家自然科学基金会等多个机构、组织为会议提供了资助。
From November 6 to November 10, dozens of librarians from universities, research institutes and major libraries in China and their counterparts from the United States gather in Luojia Mountain, the birthplace of the professional education of modern Chinese libraries To discuss the future development of library and information science education in the digital age. Many graduate students who are studying for master’s and doctoral degrees participate in advanced seminars on the same subject. The symposium jointly sponsored by Wuhan University and the University of Pittsburgh in the United States received great attention from all parties. The Ministry of Education and the Joint Board of Asian Higher Education, the National Natural Science Foundation and other agencies and organizations have provided funding for the conference.
