Born in 1957 in the small Swiss city of Altdorf, photography artist Beit Strueli lived and created in Rome, Paris and New York. He now works mainly in Zurich, Düsseldorf and Brussels. Helga Mestre met with the artist and held a dialogue in Brussels. It was in Brussels that the artist created the series “World Images,” showing some people who are unaware of the camera. This dialogue from the artist’s life experience into the painting, and then talked about the equipment, technology, and finally into the philosophical level of time, memory and life, far and near to show the photography artist’s creative thinking and artistic thinking. The Dialogue was published in Art Forum Magazine No. 214 (March-April 2012). This issue of “Extraterrestrial Fax” translates two conversations into Chinese to readers.
