Objective To explore the effect of music therapy on patients during coronary angiography. Methods 120 patients undergoing elective coronary angiography were randomly divided into psychological care group (control group) and psychological nursing plus music therapy group (experimental group). The changes of heart rate, blood pressure, preoperative, postoperative Zung anxiety score and the number of cases of discomfort during operation were observed. Results The heart rate and blood pressure in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the preoperative Zung anxiety score between the two groups, but the difference was statistically significant at the end of the operation (P <0.05) There was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05). The experimental group had 9 cases of pain and discomfort, accounting for 15%. The control group had 25 cases of pain and discomfort, accounting for 41%. Conclusion Music therapy can eliminate the anxiety in patients during operation, relieve pain and discomfort, and reduce the incidence of intraoperative complications.
