Domestic and foreign research on toxicity of chlordimeform is mostly animal experimental data, less epidemiological research materials. For this reason, we investigated the chlordimeform workshop of Shanghai Wusong Chemical Plant for 5 years (from the start of production in 1977.5 to the stop of production in 1981.5) and tried to provide some scientific evidence for evaluating the toxicity of chlordimeform and formulating the hygiene standards. The plant uses phosgene law to produce 25% chlordimeform hydrochloride solution. Salt into condensation, chlorination, and three other processes, basically closed pipe production and isolated operation. Packaging was originally 20kg plastic barrel manual filling, 1979 changed to 1kg plastic bottle mechanical filling, manual capping and packaging semi-mechanical transmission lines. Polluted workplace, production and packaging workers
