The UK-produced CT.355 Reichdrill drilling rig is used for fast rotary drilling with a hole diameter of 114 to 127 mm. The rig was mounted on an International BTD-8 tractor (see figure). The reducer and hydraulic motor of the drill stem slewing mechanism are mounted on the derrick. The reducer ensures a smooth adjustment of the speed of rotation. The drill pipe is drilled by two hydraulic propellers through a chain drive and applied to the housing of the swing mechanism. The rig’s propulsion is 6,800 kilograms, and the rig offers the possibility of drilling holes in any rock. The rig’s low center of gravity ensures its stability and can therefore be used on uneven surfaces. Drilling machines can use both ordinary drill bits and roller bit drill holes. When cleaning the blast hole, you can use the air pressure of the mobile compressor installed on the platform.
