广州市金属回收公司提出“一业为主,多种经营”的经营方针早在七、八年前。但是由于历年来,这个方针的配套工作和措施没有落实,机遇没有抓住,因此,没能产生较好的经济效益。1992年底以来,公司领导抓住经济大气候较为活跃的机遇,果断地作出了大力发展多种经营的决策,并具体制订了发展项目和有关措施,使公司多种经营得以实现,为今后大力发展奠定了基础。他们具体抓了以下几项工作:
