我院是全国房屋建筑材料设计研究部门中建制最早的单位之一,拥有专业齐全的设计科研力量,占有系统设计资料和大量科研成果.现有工程技术人员一百余人,其中绝大多数为高级工程师,设有建材工艺、机械设备、热工窑炉、建筑结构、电气自控、技术经济等专业.我院承担各种建筑材料工厂的设计,是甲级建筑材料工业工程设计单位(城设证甲字0097号).主要擅长新型墙体材料厂(混凝土空心砌块、加气混凝土制品、粘土空心砖、硅酸盐砖、人造轻骨科、各类轻质板材、废渣胶凝材料等);混凝土制品厂(建筑构件、预制大板、水泥输水管、水泥电杆、商品混凝土等);传统建筑材料厂(水泥、石灰、玻璃、陶瓷墙地砖等)以及工业废渣综合利用基地的可行性研究、工程设计直至竣工投产各阶段的技术服务工作.我院在三十余年中设计建成的各类建筑材料工厂遍及全国各地,并先后进入阿尔巴尼亚、越南、泰国、马耳他、刚果、秘鲁、独联体等国家,在国内外享有一定的声誉,并获得多项国家、省、市级
