很长一段时间里,我都无法平息这种感觉:是我们在策划、拍摄《武训》,还是我们在重新诠释那段让人忘却不下的历史?从电影《武训传》到电视剧《武训》的47年间,已经成长起了整整两代人,站在两代人的肩头瞩望一直面向我们走来的武训,无疑是更真实、更清晰了。对于仅仅耳闻过那位历史奇人或在那部黑白片上回忆起一丝什么的人来讲,肩背褡裢满世界伸手讨钱的武训,确实有些陌生和遥远了。如果他那悲辱而又让人感念不已的行乞声,仅仅是划过脂粉气益发浓烈的商业街、喧嚣躁动的股票交易所、灯红酒绿的夜总会,但却不见斑驳身影,也就罢了,可那声音还要掠过一个个没有“希望工程”奠基的僻壤家乡、掠过没有屋顶遮蔽风雨的校舍……
