镍是一种化学元素。符号Ni。原子系数28。自然界中以硅酸镍矿或硫、砷,镍合物形式存在。金属镍系银白色金属,性坚韧,有磁性和良好的可塑性,在空气中不被氧化,溶于硝酸。如含镍成分较高的铜镍合金,不易腐蚀,在化学工作中广泛使用。(见《辞海》)我国镍矿资源主要以硫化铜镍矿为主,占全国总保有储量的86%,红土镍矿储量相对较少,占全国总保有储量的9.6%。我国镍矿资源分布比较集中,主要分布在西北、西南和东北地区,就各省(区)来看,甘肃储量最多,
