研究表明: 南京裂爪螨Schizotetranychusnanjingensis雌成螨营两性或孤雌产雄生殖; 林间自然性比8.23∶1; 雄螨可交尾多次; 卵集中产于丝膜下, 每雌一生平均产卵16.7 粒, 日均产卵0.8 粒; 该螨以雌成螨和卵滞育越冬, 11 月中旬入蛰, 3 月上旬出蛰; 20~35℃范围内, 各螨态发育历期随温度升高而变短, 41℃不能完成生活史; 从卵到成螨产卵有效积温为325.378 5日度, 计算该螨在福建1a 发生19 代. 少量降雨造成幼、若、成螨大量死亡, 但对卵孵化影响不大, 浸水对幼、若、成螨及卵影响均很大
