今年春天,我和管虎携带我们的影片《头发乱了》前往法国,参加蒙特利埃第六届中国电影节。这是世界上唯一只介绍中国电影的电影节,谢晋、孙周、姜文等曾参加过前几届电影节。我和管虎是历届参加电影节的中国影人中年纪最轻的。 蒙特利埃市的人民非常喜爱电影,这个充满文化氛围的小城处处可见电影海报和各种电影综合刊物。特别是当我们在电影院门前看到久违了的观众排队购票的情景,更令人感动。他们不仅仅是看美国影片,对本国影片和世界各国的影片也抱有同样的热情。电影节期间,这个不过20万人的小城市,平均每场的观众都在500人以上。联想起目前中国电影市场的窘况,我们心里更有一种说不出的感慨。当地人告诉我们,这里大多数人家并不拥有电视机,有电视机的也不过看看新闻。这并不是因为买不起电视机,而是大家不愿将大量时间消耗在浅俗的电视节目上。电影一直是他们生活中必不可少的一部分,也是他们和各个国家人民沟通
This spring, I and Guan Hu carried our video “Hair Dangling” to France to attend the 6th China Film Festival in Montpellier. This is the only film festival in the world that only introduces Chinese films. Xie Jin, Sun Zhou and Jiang Wen participated in previous film festivals. I and Guan Hu are the youngest Chinese filmmakers to attend the festival. The city of Montpellier is fond of movies, and the culturally filled town is full of movie posters and a variety of cinematographic publications. Especially when we see a long time ago in the cinema in front of the audience queuing tickets scenes, even more touching. They are not just watching American films, they also have the same enthusiasm about their films and the films of other countries in the world. During the festival, the small city of only 200,000 has an average audience of 500 or more. Think of the current predicament of the Chinese film market, we have a more indescribable feeling in my heart. The locals tell us that most people here do not own television sets, and the television sets just watch the news. This is not because they can not afford to buy a television set, but because they are reluctant to spend a lot of time on shameless television shows.
