Biomphalarta straminea (Dunker 1848) is widely distributed in Central and South America and is the intermediate host of Schistosoma mansoni (Getz et al., 1975). It is also the most important intermediate host of Schistosoma mansoni in northeastern Brazil. Meier-Brook (1974) reported the discovery of such a snakehead snake in Hong Kong. The authors also received this snail in the irrigation trench in Kowloon New Territories, Hong Kong. They live in water, often clustered, floating on or submerged in water. In order to understand the law of activity of the double-cusp snail, observe its behavior in the laboratory in still water and aerated water.
