新闻的“新”,一般有两个含义:一是指时间的新近,一是指事实的新鲜。当记者的,谁都懂得新鲜性的分量。一篇稿子发到编辑部,如果编辑说“不新鲜”,坏了,稿子十之八九要被毙掉。因此,记者为了寻找一个新鲜的事实或新鲜的角度,常常要付出巨大的努力,有时真可谓“为伊消得人憔悴”。但有的同志在追求新鲜性的同时,自觉不自觉地赶“时髦”,这实在是对新鲜性的一种误解。赶时髦的新闻,常常与采写者的初衷相反,不但不会受欢迎,反而容易引起人们的反感。前一段时间,赶时髦在新闻界可以说形成了一股不大不小的“风”,影响很不好。鼓吹“高消费”便是典型一例。1985年,一位记者到某县采访,报道这个县
