Since 2004, the experiment of high school new curriculum reform in our country (the abbreviation of “curriculum reform of new-generation basic education”) took the lead in the four provinces of Hainan, Guangdong, Shandong and Ningxia. In the following years, the new high school curriculum reform experiment was gradually implemented in more than 20 provinces throughout the country. The new curriculum reform document “Basic Education Curriculum Reform (Trial)” clearly states: To change the curriculum evaluation overemphasis on screening and selection functions, to play evaluation to promote student development, teachers improve and improve teaching practice. This puts forward new requirements and challenges for senior high school English teaching.
