因为盐浴炉是敞开加热工件,所以炉口是热损失的主要渠道。为了降低盐浴炉的热损失,炉口必须加盖。本来盐浴炉都配有钢板耐火砖的保温盖,因为这种炉盖很苯重,保温效果差,使用不便,绝大部分工厂都弃之不用。为此,我们制作了一个480×400×180毫米的保温盖,盖的外壳是由薄铁皮和角铁焊成的,内夹30～40毫米厚的硅酸铝纤维毡,在宽边的一侧留有两个副极出口,并兼做排烟口。这种盖保温效果好、重量轻(只有8公斤)使用方便。
