28～80mm这一焦距范围涵盖了广角、标准和中焦,是我们在摄影活动中使用频率最高的焦距范围。因此,几乎每个专业镜头厂家都生产过28～80mm的变焦镜头。这一变焦范围的镜头,市场上可供选择的品牌和款式很多。但大部分镜头厂家出于生产成本、镜头体积、重量和消费者购买力的考虑,将镜头的最大口径只做到F3.5（有的甚至是F5.6）,象尼康、佳能等一些名牌厂家将镜头的最大口径做到了F2.8但镜头的价格十分昂贵。图丽（Tokina）AT-X280 Pro f28～80/2.8镜头将镜头的最大口径做到了F2.8,但镜头的售价只有名牌镜头的一半,略高于普通28～80mm变焦镜头。
