外语教学的主要任务是培养学生的跨文化交际能力,进行有效的交际。但是当今高职高专院校的外语教学由于对跨文化教育重视不够,语言学习者没有充分意识到跨文化交际中的文化差异,导致交际障碍、交际失误等现象屡屡发生。归根结底,中西方源于自然环境、生产劳动、风俗习惯、宗教信仰、历史典故、思维方式等方面的的文化差异造成了英语教学中的重要问题。本文主要从对跨文化教育的重要性和必要性的理论分析入手,阐述了当前外语文化教育的现状,探讨了当前进行外语文化教育提高交际能力的几种途径。
The main task of foreign language teaching is to cultivate students’ intercultural communication skills and conduct effective communication. However, due to the lack of emphasis on cross-cultural education in foreign language teaching in higher vocational colleges, language learners are not fully aware of the cultural differences in intercultural communication, resulting in the frequent occurrence of communicative barriers and communicative errors. In the final analysis, the cultural differences between China and the West stemming from the natural environment, productive labor, customs, religious beliefs, historical allusions and ways of thinking have created important problems in English teaching. This paper starts with the theoretical analysis of the importance and necessity of intercultural education, elaborates the current situation of foreign language and culture education, and discusses several ways to promote foreign language and culture education and improve communicative competence.
