Cathay Aluminum and the chemical company, the Tranwood Plant, is located on the outskirts of Spokane, Washington. The plant’s products include all varieties of aluminum plates, sheets and coils. All production using 10 round smelting furnace. The final production was in the summer of 1978 ordered two smelting furnace (called the DC-8 sets of smelting furnace). The DC-8- smelting and casting facility (Figure 1) has a deep puddle with an induction stirrer and heat recovery unit, the first of its kind in the Caesars consortium. The device also has a flip bottom and automatic casting device.
