熔模铸造常用的压型有机械加工的钢压型、易熔合金压型、塑料压型和石膏压型。机械加工的钢压型寿命高,但制造困难,加工成本高,适用于大量生产。易熔合金压型是采用低熔点合金铸造的。要先制好一个已具有收缩率放量的金属标准母模,用这个母模来翻制压型。这种压型表面光洁度与尺寸精度不如机械加工的好。塑料压型多用于批量生产的零件,缺点是导热性差,生产率低。石膏压型适用于单件试制生产。
